Job Summary
The Intern – Media, Visibility & Communications will support the documentation, visibility, and communication components of the Green Church Initiative. Under the supervision of the Project Manager and in coordination with PMS Communication and MEAL teams, the intern will assist in capturing, developing, and disseminating project stories, learning materials, and visibility content in line with donor branding and PMS communication guidelines. The position provides hands-on learning exposure in development communications and media engagement.
Responsibilities
• Support documentation of project activities through photos, short videos, and field stories
• Assist in developing success stories, human-interest stories, and case studies
• Support social media content creation in coordination with PMS Communication team
• Assist in maintaining project visibility in line with donor branding guidelines
• Support preparation of IEC materials, banners, and visibility tools for events
• Assist in basic data compilation for reports and learning documents
• Support media coverage of key project events and campaigns
• Ensure informed consent, dignity, and safeguarding standards while collecting media content
• Comply with PMS code of conduct, safeguarding, and ethical communication policies
Specifications
Education:
• Enrolled in or recently graduated from Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Media Studies, Mass Communication, Journalism, Development Communication, Education, or related field
Work Experience:
• Not required (learning and exposure-based position)
Skills and Competencies
• Basic photography and video recording skills (mobile or camera)
• Content writing and storytelling ability
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Creativity with attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and work in field-based environments
