Qualified Women are Strongly Encouraged to Apply.

Based in Islamabad, Alternate Development Services Pvt. Ltd (ADS) is a research and capacity development firm. It is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). ADS possesses elaborate experience of project implementation and assessment in the areas of alternative and renewable energy transition, and addresses the effects of global warming, climate change, and environmental conservation on society, economy, businesses, and corporate intervention.

ADS envisions generating an enabling environment for informed policy positions, nature-friendly and people-centered development, as well as energy consumption and transition. It is rapidly emerging as a known entity striving to persuade, facilitate, and monitor Pakistan’s corporate sector in transitioning from fossil-powered energy to renewable and sustainable sources of energy, such as wind, solar, bio, and other green, clean, and environmentally friendly means of energy. ADS believes in employing alternative sources of energy, not only help minimize global warming and arrest greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) but also to help in sustainable business growth and profitability as well.

The Alternate and Renewable Energy Campaign (AREC-Pakistan) is ADS’s ensuing campaign for transforming the corporate sectors’ sources of energy towards clean and green ones. ADS strives to encourage the corporate sector (specifically food and beverage corporate entities, including their supply chains, textiles, sports, and leather industry and supply chains) and MDBs to switch to 100% Renewable Energy (RE) by transforming their high-carbon-emitting and polluting sources of power to alternative, sustainable, greener, and cleaner sources of energy. The incumbent is supposed to assess the scale and scope of energy consumption and carbon emissions, the potential environmental/atmospheric impact of the corporation's activities, products, and services on society, analyze the select industries’ energy consumption, design a business plan, develop briefs and reader-friendly reports, leaflets, and pamphlets. One of his/her key roles is to persuade them to adopt human and environment-friendly means of energy generation, procurement, and consumption, and label their products as dirty-energy-free green products.

Corresponding to the project requirements, ADS is looking for a ‘Research Associate - Energy Transition and Policy Advocacy (RA - ETPA)’ to assume the following responsibilities:

Using multiple negotiation strategies, the position holder is going to suggest that select corporates adopt and implement their energy-savings plans and prefer using renewable sources of energy.

  5. Simultaneously, the incumbent is going to identify and communicate the benefits of green and clean energy procurement and supplying green-energy-labelled products to the clients and consumers.
