Job Title:                                                                    Business Mobilizer (Female)

Job Purpose:                                                             Mobilize and support microbusinesses, especially women and youth, in the target communities of Bahawalpur (Punjab) and Hyderabad (Sindh). The role aims to strengthen business skills, improve product quality, enhance digital literacy, and support market linkages while ensuring effective field implementation of the Enterprise Acceleration Program (EAP).

Position Summary:

The Business Mobilizer (Female) will be responsible for field-level engagement, community/business mobilization, and coordination of all training, coaching, and market-linkage activities under the EAP.
She will work closely with microbusinesses to strengthen their business management capacities, digital skills, product development practices, and diversify market opportunities as aligned with project goals.

Reporting & Supervision

The Business Mobilizer will report to the Project Coordinator / Team Lead and will work closely with the technical experts, MEL team, and other project staff.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Identify and mobilize target microbusinesses, women entrepreneurs, youth, and community groups in assigned districts/ clusters.
  • Conduct regular field visits to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Support validation of project clusters and assist in initial stakeholder mapping at the district level.
  • Facilitate baseline data collection, community profiling, and implementation of MEL tools.
  • Mobilize and register participants for business management, digital literacy, climate literacy, and financial inclusion trainings.
  • Coordinate and support delivery of all training sessions, ensuring effective participation of women and youth.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to ensure all trained participants develop and complete Business Development Plans (BDPs).
  • Provide coaching on bookkeeping, pricing, costing, cash flow, digital tools, and basic business practices.
  • Support participants in using digital platforms for marketing, e-commerce, and payment systems.
  • Facilitate linkages between entrepreneurs and financial institutions (banks, MFIs, grant schemes) to support access to finance.
  • Mobilize entrepreneurs for product design, branding, quality assurance, and modern trade practice workshops.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching on product packaging, labeling, and presentation according to market requirements.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating participation in trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer–seller networking events.
  • Support introduction of new and diversified products in each cluster through technical assistance and coaching.
  • Assist in organizing cross-cluster learning and exchange visits between Punjab and Sindh.
  • Support establishment and operation of product innovation labs within assigned clusters.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, chambers, business associations, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Ensure high participation of women and youth and uphold gender-sensitive and inclusive practices.
  • Maintain accurate field records, including mobilization lists, attendance sheets, coaching logs, and photographic evidence.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress updates and reports to the Project Coordinator.
  • Document success stories, case studies, and key field learnings for project reporting.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor relevant to achieving project objectives.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, or community/business mobilization.
  • Strong networking and community engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting women-led or home-based businesses.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of business management, digital tools, and market linkages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data collection apps).
  • Fluency in spoken Urdu; local languages of Punjab/Sindh are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned district.

 

Excellent writing and communications skills in English required.

Qualification / Knowledge

A Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized university in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Higher Qualification in the Requisite Disciplines Preferred.
