Job Purpose:

The Field Coordinator will support planning, implementation, monitoring, and completion of ECE classroom establishment activities in assigned districts. The role requires strong coordination with E&SED, schools, vendors, and monitoring teams to ensure quality compliance and timely delivery. The role involves day-to-day field coordination, monitoring, documentation, and liaison with district education authorities, schools, and vendors to ensure timely, quality, and compliant delivery of project outputs. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the incumbent is expected to proactively support field operations, resolve routine implementation issues, and ensure adherence to the approved Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP), milestones, and timelines. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with school administrators, head teachers, ECE teachers, vendors, and district focal persons to support smooth project execution.
  • Support implementation of ECE classroom establishment activities in assigned districts and schools in line with the approved Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).
  • Coordinate with District Education Officers (Male & Female), ADEOs, and school administrations for classroom identification, access, and facilitation.
  • Conduct joint classroom assessments with school administrations to identify suitable spaces for ECE establishment.
  • Monitor ECE classrooms for compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and report missing, damaged, or deficient ECE items for timely rectification by vendors.
  • Facilitate handover and taking-over processes at school and district levels in coordination with E&SED.
  • Obtain completion certificates from Male and Female DEOs following completion of classroom establishment.
  • Respond to Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) queries and facilitate verification and follow-up actions on need basis.
  • Maintain continuous coordination with schools, DEO offices, vendors, and project teams to avoid delays.
  • Support resolution of routine administrative, coordination, and access-related issues at district level.
    Ensure proper documentation, including field reports, monitoring checklists, photographs, handover records, completion certificates, and TPM correspondence.
  • Submit regular field progress reports to the Project Manager
  • Share high-quality photographs, case stories, and field updates for reporting and communication purposes.
  • Ensure responsible use and management of project vehicles, equipment, and resources.
  • Remain stationed in assigned districts until completion of planned activities; extended field stays and night halts are mandatory where required.
  • Maintain a proactive, disciplined, and delivery-focused approach to meet assigned targets within timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree (minimum 16 years of education)
  • Minimum 05 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in:
  • Field coordination and monitoring of education or social sector projects
  • At least one large-scale project implementation
  • Experience working with district education departments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage district-level field activities and reporting 

Performance & Contractual Compliance

  • This is a time-bound and delivery-focused role due to the project duration (06 months), geographic coverage (25 districts), and establishment of approximately 700 ECE classrooms.
  • The Field Coordinator is accountable for assigned districts and schools under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Unsatisfactory performance, unprofessional conduct, or failure to meet assigned milestones may result in immediate termination.
  • Termination may be initiated through a formal email from the Project Manager to the Director Programs & Partnerships.
  • No prior notice or grace period is required; the contract may be suspended with immediate effect.
  • Strict adherence to the DIP, milestones, timelines, and assigned targets is mandatory.
