Job Purpose
The Training Coordinator will manage the mobilization, planning, implementation, and management of training programs, ensuring that they are designed to meet the specific needs of the target trainees and are delivered effectively. The role includes coordinating with trainers, monitoring trainee progress, and ensuring the training program aligns with project goals to achieve successful skill development outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor training plans that are tailored to the needs of returnees, ensuring alignment with project objectives and the labor market demands.
- Coordinate with trainers, facilitators, and subject matter experts to schedule and deliver training sessions.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and adjust programs accordingly.
- Ensure all training materials are up-to-date, accurate, and relevant to the trainees' needs.
- Track and report on training progress, documenting attendance, assessments, and trainee feedback.
- Monitor trainee engagement and performance during the training process and provide necessary support.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to trainees who require additional support, ensuring they are on track to meet program expectations.
- Collaborate with the Job Placement Officer to ensure training outcomes align with job market requirements.
- Organize and facilitate job readiness workshops to enhance trainees’ employability.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, training standards, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain a database of all training activities, participant records, and progress reports.
- Prepare regular updates and reports for project managers on training outcomes, challenges, and success stories.
- Collect and analyze feedback from trainees and trainers to continuously improve the training program.
- Ensure trainee retention in accordance with donor guidelines.
- Stay updated on new training methodologies, tools, and labor market trends to ensure the program remains relevant and effective.
Performance Indicators
- Percentage of trainees who successfully complete training programs.
- Satisfaction rate from trainees and trainers on the quality of the training.
- Improvement in trainee skills as measured by pre- and post-training assessments.
- Timeliness and accuracy of training reports.
- Level of collaboration with job placement efforts and employer needs alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Training & Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification in Training Management, TVET, or instructional design will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in training coordination, skills development, vocational training, or donor-funded projects.
- Experience working with returnees, youth, or vulnerable populations will be preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating trainers, managing training schedules, and monitoring trainee performance.
- Familiarity with TVET, or similar donor-funded training programs is a strong advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple training activities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Urdu, English and Pashtu.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and data management skills.
- Ability to analyze training data and translate findings into project improvements.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and participatory training methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including trainers, trainees, employers, and project teams.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality and timelines.
