Key Responsibilities
- Submission of one proposal per month to secure project under the Sustainable Environment Program
- Develop and implement sustainable environmental practices and policies.
- Manage environmental projects and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to program teams and partners on sustainable environmental practices.
- Conduct environmental assessments, identify environmental challenges, and develop strategies to address them.
- Build strong relationships and networks with government agencies, civil society organizations, and local communities.
- Facilitate community-led initiatives and activities that promote sustainable environmental practices.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using gender-sensitive and rights-based approaches.
- Conduct research and analysis on environmental issues and produce reports and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and legal and ethical standards.
Qualification:
Skills:
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainable environmental practices, environmental management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies in Pakistan.
- Excellent communication, networking, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in conducting environmental assessments and developing environmental strategies.
- Experience in managing environmental projects.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Fluency in English and Urdu.
- Passion for sustainable environmental practices and sustainable development.
- Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, social inclusion, and human rights.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural and multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of the political, social, and cultural context of Pakistan.
- Familiarity with donor regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work in challenging environments and travel to remote areas.
