Development Executives needs to engage 2 technical experts on a short-term basis for 45 days each with a total 90 days for one of its co-managed projects.

1. Position:

• Consultant Graphic Designer

2. Objectives:

The main goal of this assignment is to enhance the investment promotion and outreach capabilities of investment promotion agencies of Punjab, Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan, and Pakistan by equipping them with an updated investor information pack which would include developing an engaging and user-friendly investment guide and a pitchbook to showcase investment ready projects in the region. Additionally, the initiative aims to carry out a robust investor outreach activity targeting the global investment community through dissemination of the updated investor packs strategically to investors and relevant institutions in order to increase investor awareness and engagement. In the light of the above the stated assignment will be focusing on achieving following sub-objectives:

Investment Promotion

Sub-Objective-1: Development of updated investment guides for Punjab, Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan

Sub-Objective-2: Development of updated pitch book showcasing selected investment opportunities with high potential to attract foreign direct investment (FDI)

Sub-Objective-3: Updating Pakistan Investment Guide.

Investor Outreach

Sub-Objective-4: Developing updated targeted investor database and carrying out investor outreach activity generating leads for the provincial investment promotion agencies. 

3. Tasks of the Consultants:

3.1 General Tasks

Under this consultancy each consultant is required to carry out the following general tasks:

1. Meet with IPA Deputy Chief of Party and investment promotion agencies representatives to understand the specific requirements of the scope of work and design and submit a unified work plan/presentation in coordination with other consultants on the assignment to the IPA team.

2. Presentation of the work plan to the respective investment promotion agencies.

3. Responsible for main deliverables and reporting to Deputy Chief of Party and/or his designee.

4. The consultant is liable to produce and provide all types of back-end work, analysis, research methodology, primary research data, meeting notes and essential data.

5. Carry out research on the current international best practices of developing investment promotion materials and conduct a comparative analysis of investment guides of other countries for necessary benchmarking. 

3.2 Specific Tasks

The specific tasks under this consultancy for consultants graphic designer/web content developer include:

1. Develop and submit a design template and theme for the new Investment Guide / pack for approval.

2. Work in collaboration with content developer to develop the content for graphical visualization and necessary templates.

3. Add any information that is necessary to provide a complete picture of the respective provincial investment landscape of Pakistan which domestic/international investors may require to guide their investment decision/generate investor interest.

4. Carry out the completion of information, develop quality content, and create infographics/data visualizations to present information in a clear and concise manner.

5. Finalize draft of the investment guide/pack encompassing all relevant themes.

6. Coordinate with content developer and lead consultant to submit the initial drafted investment guide and address any comments/queries by IPA and respective investment promotion agencies after rounds of review.

7. Assist lead consultant to ensure that the updated investment guide is ready for consumption by the target audience.

8. Submit final investor packs with complete design/print ready files to IPA.

4. Required Qualifications

Required qualifications for the Consultant for writing and developing Pakistan Investment Guide are as follows:

• Degree in Business Administration/ Fine Arts/ computer sciences/front end designing/graphic designing/web content development and any other related field from a reputable Pakistani or Foreign University.

• Additional certifications and courses in related fields may be preferred.

• Minimum 7 years or above experience in content development, graphic designing especially in creation of market/industrial/sectoral reports.

• Excellent written/ oral presentation skills in both English and Urdu.

• Skillful in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.

• Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects

• Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Illustrator etc.

• Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred.

• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web

• Experience with both print and digital media will be preferred.

• Knowledge of economic issues and prevalent economic trends of Pakistan.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance oriented, team-based environment with minimal supervision.

5. Duty Station:

The team will work with the related IPA personnel, based in Islamabad. Field visits to various locations for consultations may take place. International consultants will work remotely.

6. Duration of the Assignment: 

This job is planned to take place as per a start date of on or around May 15, 2024, and end date is on or before August 30, 2024, hereto for a total of above-mentioned allotted days of LOE.
