General Position Summary
The TB Screener is a self-motivated and analytically capable individual who will be responsible for screening TB patients at the assigned hospital in accordance with Enhance Case Finding (ECF) Operational Guidelines.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Screen all the beneficiaries attending different OPDs of the hospital using screening tool
- Ensuring that all the identified presumptive cases reach the designated Doctor
- Ensure that all the identified presumptive cases provide sputum and transport the sputum to the Xpert testing site, bring the result back to the hospital and register the TB patient
- In case of Rifampicin Resistance (RR) detected, coordinate with the DFS and hand over the patient to DFS for further management and registration at the PMDT site
- Prepare monthly record of the screened, presumptive, positive TB case and RR cases and report to the DFS coordinator
- Perform other required tasks assigned by the supervisor
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Reports Directly To: District Officer - Queta
- Works Directly with : Regional Coordinator, District Field Supervisor, Doctors, Xpert Testing In-charge, Project Assistant, Data Management Officer and mobile van staff.
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor in social sciences / relevant discipline. Two years of work experience with community based programs, preferably one years with TB control / DOTS awareness programs. Computer Basic computer skills in MS Office. Strong communication skills are required. Fluency in written and spoken English, Urdu and local Languages.
