Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator’s main role is to support the Project Manager in field implementation in the respective district. The Project Coordinator in supervision of Project Manager will conduct field assessments, work planning, scheduling, and overall administration of the project to be in consistent with planned water and sanitation programme, HA policies and procedures & donor requirements.

Job Duties:

  1. Ensuring effective and timely delivery of agreed outputs and outcomes as set-out in the project documents under WASH In Schools, Communities, Healthcare Facilities (HCFs), TLCs & Safe Spaces.
  2. To ensure that the most appropriate form of water & sanitation systems are installed, in consultation with the beneficiaries, which includes water quality monitoring, excreta disposal options, vector control and drainage.
  3. Ensure coordination & liaisoning with the concerned stakeholders for improved coordination, technical inputs & avoid duplication e.g. PHED, PCRWR, WASH Cluster, Other NGOs/INGOs in the district
  4. Represent HA across all stakeholders including donors, WASH & Nutrition Cluster, Social Welfare, DDMA and government stakeholders as needed & share progress reports
  5. Conducting regular filed visits to review progress against the plans.
  6. Support mobilization team in community mobilization, site selections, village assessments & UC Prioritizations.
  7. Lead implementation of WASH Components (Hygiene Education, WASH IPC, MHM) in Field & oversee mobilization teams in the district
  8. Plan & Support Celebration of International WASH Days
  9. Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with the Field Level Agreement (FLA)
  10. Visit target communities on regular basis to get their perceptions and experience so as to assist in planning and implementing the project accordingly
  11. Facilitate the identification and resolve of capacity development needs and implementation challenges to the field staff
  12. Facilitate affective project monitoring through PDMs/FGDs

Reporting

  • Support Project Manager on all project related reporting as per HA’s protocols & donor specific needs
  • Draft Project Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Reports
  • Ensure effective documentation & record keeping e.g. village wise & gender desegregated beneficiaries records, attendance sheets, photographs & Videos
  • Support Project Manager in office & staff management including daily work plan development, performance monitoring, field visits & spot checks

Collaboration

  • Co-ordinate with other Agencies, Local Authorities and Government, stakeholders in the District and ensure that the project is targeted to the appropriate target population.
  • To co-ordinate and foster relations with other HA Programs in the district so as to ensure proper allocation and sharing of resources.
  • Participate in regular coordination meetings in HA and outside agencies including the donor.
  • Collaborate with support service departments like Operations, Finance and HR to ensure supporting the team requests.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Master degree with 5 years of total experience and having minimum 3 years of WASH sector experience.
  • Extensive Experience in Community Mobilization & Hygiene Education, WASH IPC is a plus  
  • Community mobilization skills.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
  • Excellent skills on computer operation, especially on MS Word &  Microsoft Excel
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Note: Position is subject to approval of donor funding. As, we are looking for immediate hires, we will be reviewing candidates on rolling basis.
