Overview:

Jhpiego, a global leader in improving health care for women and families, aims to supportGovernment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the unified purpose of contributing to the FP2030 targets by enhancing women’s access to quality FP services. This USAID funded project is basically focused on implementation of postpartum family planning (PPFP) strategy; develop improvement plans; strengthen the technical rigor of PPFP programming with a focus on data quality, use and management, and quality of services; and address gaps in young people’s access to FP information and counseling.

Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, USA seeks Program Assistant for Provincial office (Peshawar) to support the MCGL project with respect to coordination and liaising with theprovincial stakeholders. The Program assistant will work closely with the Senior Program Manager and Provincial Stakeholders (DoH & PWD) for smooth execution of the MCGL project activities. 

Key Responsibilities, Duties, and Tasks:

  • Coordinate with provincial and district teams to collect the required data.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project and activities data in hard and soft form
  • Develop and update district wise activities summaries and update it on regular basis
  • Facilitate provincial stakeholders (DoH & PWD) field visit plan for to the MCGL project implementation sites.
  • Work in close coordination with SPM zto develop project presentation and updates.
  • Coordination with Provincial and District teams for nominations of different trainings trainings
  • Support provincial team in coordination and communication with provincial offices
  • Regularly coordination with DoH and PWD for smooth execution of the MCGL project.
  • Provide administrative support to the MCGL provincial team with regards to coordination with DoH and PWD.
  • Facilitate support the visits of the DoH and PWD stakeholders to the MCGL project activities.
  • Provide support to SPM in preparing monthly Quarterly reports and process TAF and activity budget for the MCGL project field implementation.
  • Provide monthly project delivery updates to SPM in accordance with project objectives.
  • Provide on call support (out of hours) to DoH and PWD stakeholders with regards to MCGL project activities.

Qualification, Skills and Competencies;

  • Graduation with preference to public health, sociology, demography, statistics, or other social science; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+years working experience supporting technical or programmatic activities (experience with health facility setting a plus);
  • At least 1 years of experience of coordination and administrative support.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Experience in working with provincial stakeholders.
  • Time management skills
  • Good written, oral and presentation skills in English
  • Good peoples and partnership skills
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 30% of time
  • Preference will be given to local candidate having knowledge and experience of local context and language
