Position : Disaster Risk Reduction  Officer

Position Objectives:

To assist ongoing Recovery Programme as DRR officer to Manager DM.

To assist in execution of in Integrated Recovery Plans.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

 

To assist Line Managerin Implementation of  DRR related activities (areas targeted for Recovery Operation)

 

To assist team at Islamabad, PHQ & districts in the conduct of baselines, VCAs, Community Plans etc.

 

Coordinate with district teams for data management of Recovery Programme initiatives.

 

Ensure timely collection of monthly, quarterly and annual reports from the district team for submission to line manager for consolidation.

 

Mobilize and enroll volunteers every month from colleges, universities and community etc.

 

Monitoring Visits to ensure execution of the activities as per plan for smooth implementation.

 

Assist field teams in execution of soft activities (Campaigns, trainingsetc) to be implemented in the field.

 

Emergency Response Support: Provide support during emergencies and disasters, including the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.

 

Any duty assigned by the management.

 

Education

 

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences/Project Management or relevant filed from recognized institution. 

 

Experience.

 

 

  • Minimum 1x year experience in relevant field / position.
  • Field experience in coordinating Recovery & DRR projects and activities.
  • Experience in project cycle management including proposal development, budgeting and reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Knowledge about development of situational IEC material & tools.

 

Skills / Knowledge

 

-   Very Good skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point.

-   Very Good Communication Skills.

-   Very Good Report Writing Skills.

-   Experience in capacity building and trainings of health service providers.

-   Sound knowledge of software.

-    Very Good team player (service oriented), able to work in stressful situation.

-   Flexibility to adapt to fast changing circumstances.

-   Team Management Skills

 

Maximum Age: Maximum 35 years

 

Traveling:-  60% travelling within targeted districts of Pakistan
