Job Title:  Program Officer Livelihood

Position Objectives:

The program officer will be responsible for coordination with partners and departments on account of Livelihood programming implementation and capacity building initiatives. The program manager Livelihood will monitor and manage various rules of law related initiatives and coordinate, plan, supervise the implementation of various awareness training sessions, collaborations with other UN agencies /NGOs etc. He or she will also provide a narrative of the results on a monthly basis.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

  •  

To provide assistance in establishing and maintaining productive working relationship with the respective branches, movement partners and other UN agencies, INGOs, and NGOs.

  •  

To assist development of livelihood plan of action and determine budget for the key livelihood interventions in the flood affected Districts.

  •  

To conduct need assessment, identify gaps, and provide assistance in development of concept notes, project proposal and budget.

  •  

To prepare monthly, annual and end-of-project narrative reports and other reports as required.

  •  

Report livelihood programme progresses Work with the monitoring team to monitor program’s progress using the program indicator tracking tables.

  •  

Provide program update and information as required to senior management to assist with dissemination of information to management and donors.

  •  

Assist Program manager in networking within  partner and beyond movements NGOs, donor delegations and UN agencies.

  •  

To support Program manager to provide technical support on Livelihood, and Food Security coordinating with other actors and sectors, ensuring good practice and accountability to beneficiaries

  •  

To design, supervise, monitor and report project activities (financial and narrative).

  •  

Support  “Livelihood guidelines, tools kit “and adapt some of the tools to their context and procedures, as well adapt some of the tools to resilience intervention programming.

  •  

To participate in national level Livelihood related working group meetings.

  •  

To do any task assigned by the management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or in related discipline from recognized institutions.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in related field like Livelihood, CVA, Disaster risk Management, Food security and nutrition.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Creative, energetic, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated flexibility, motivation, and maturity

Travelling

Frequently traveling to the project area in Pakistan.

Age Limit

Maximum age limit 40 years
