Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the able supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Officer of Economic growth will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the Economic Growth Program team in key strategic partnerships with development agencies and government departments.
  • Support business development through the development of project proposals, concept notes, and grant submissions
  • Assist the Program team in internal and external review meetings and field visits to track progress made in the implementation of the projects and take corrective actions as required.
  • Develop knowledge products related to Economic Growth.
  • Coordinate with other departments within Hashoo Foundation for the successful implementation of relevant program activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to Hashoo Foundation regional offices and programs in the development, integration, and mainstreaming of Economic Growth activities and programs
  • To perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/SMT

Required Skill Set:

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to motivate others.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and flexibility.

Experience:

  • University degree (preferably master’s or PhD) from an accredited academic institution in Economics.  
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a relevant position.
