The Integrated Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery (IHSS-SD) Activity is a USAID funded project. The project started in 2017 with the geographic focus on Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and to work with the MONHSR&C. The interventions were under three key areas Health Systems strengthening, Global Health Security and Service Delivery. In 2022 the planned activities were accomplished and closed. However, moving forward the programmatic area of focus is GHSA, TB and Pediatric COVID-19 vaccination campaign phase 2. The geographic focus is Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and to work with the MONHSR&C. The duration of the project is extended till September 2025.
The Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) has been successfully implemented in all districts of Sindh by the Provincial Disease Surveillance and Response Unit (PDSRU) with the assistance of IHSS-SD Activity project. In order to train and further strengthen the PDSRU staff and resolve Information Technology (IT) related challenges at the district and PDSRU, JSI would like to hire the services of IT Officer to provide the technical support and above services. The IT Officer will be based at Director General Health Services Office, Hyderabad.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- He/she will provide technical assistance to PDSRU in
- Collection and review of IDSR Data from Districts
- Analysis of IDSR reporting on trends of diseases
- Identification and risk communication on unusual cases
- District wise reporting of unusual cases
- Developing charts, graphs, tabulation for Provincial reporting
- Ensure data quality by identifying gaps in compliance and timeliness by follow up with Districts
2. IT officer will provide assistance to Senior Program Manager-JSI, based at PDSRU in IT issues/ IDSR dashboard
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation in Computer/ Software Sciences Engineering / Data Management
- More than 5 years of experience in Data analysis / management
- More than 5 years of experience working with Government, Non-Governmental Organization, in data analysis, / management / reporting
- Speak and understand local language.
