An international NGO in Pakistan is recruiting Field Monitoring Officers (Female only). It is an Islamabad based position and requires extensive travel to field areas within Islamabad. Under the overall supervision of Country Representative for Pakistan and directly reporting to the designated staff within the areas of responsibility, the FMO will support the project team and implementing partner in achieving results within the assigned areas of responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following
- Be responsible to steadfast activities meant to improve learning and protection of children within the assigned locations
- Conduct regular field visits to organize and monitor school and community level activities including for example but not limited to organizing women support groups, awareness raising sessions, capacity building activities for children, women and communities
- Strengthen School Committees to respond to challenges pertaining to access to and quality of education
- Mobilize communities to take charge of their issues related to child education and child protection by using participatory methodologies
- Support development of training agenda/outline/program of all the trainings, prepare training reports of all training events including interesting quotes of teachers
- Carry-out pre and post training evaluations to assess participants’ learning from the training and keep a stock of participants’ feedback forms for further improvement
- Keep a stock of project data sheets i.e. data of all activities and beneficiaries, attendance sheets, project targets vs achievements, achievement against indicators etc.
- Gather information and data for assessments, learning and reporting purposes
- Provide input to office reporting system and present data
- Maintain close linkages with stakeholders and collaborators for information sharing and building synergies
- In addition to the abovementioned duties, take responsibility to contribute/partake in any additional tasks meant to achieve organizational objectives
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, sociology, social work or other relevant disciplines
- Three years’ progressive experience in education projects particularly focusing child education and well-being of disadvantaged children
- Proven ability to write collect/collate/analyse data, conduct trainings
- Ability to plan and complete the assigned tasks with minimum supervision
- Excellent communications skills in Urdu and basic skills in English (both oral and written)
