A National NGO is looking for dynamic & Professional candidate for the position of Finance Manager. Candidates with possession of following essentials are highly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualification, Experience & skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in managing finances for humanitarian or development projects.
- Proven experience in budget preparation, financial reporting, and grants management.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
Skills:
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and donor rules and regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial management software.
Languages:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Job Description:
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Develop project budgets in coordination with the Project Manager and ensure alignment with donor requirements and organizational financial policies.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and senior management.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and reporting requirements.
- Consolidate financial reports from various project sites and ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.
Financial Management and Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust financial management and internal control systems for the project.
- Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as compliance with local regulations.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate internal and external audits of project finances and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to financial reporting and taxation.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor project cash flows and ensure sufficient liquidity for project activities.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts to anticipate funding needs and manage cash disbursements effectively.
Grants and Contracts Management:
- Monitor grant agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
- Review and approve financial aspects of contracts, agreements, and procurement processes.
Capacity Building:
- Provide training and capacity building support to project staff on financial management, budgeting, and donor compliance.
- Support partners and sub-grantees in financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks associated with project implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper insurance coverage for project assets and liabilities.
Donor Relations:
- Serve as the focal point for financial queries from donors and participate in donor meetings and reviews as required.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with donors and ensure transparency in financial reporting.
