Duties and Responsibilities

Under overall guidance and supervision of Project Manager the Meal Officer will:

1. Keep a close eye on the project activities, outputs and outcome indicators and manage back up information
2. Facilitate data/information collection for monitoring/evaluation purposes from the project.
3. Facilitate staff and partners in generating knowledge relevant to the project indicators.
4. Periodic field monitoring visits to the project sites.
5. Facilitate/write reports as and when required.
6. In collaboration with NPO MEAL, design required studies for the projects.
7. Prepare summary of data from time to time from the project for events or presentation to stakeholders.
8. Keep repository of original pictures of all the project activities.
9. Prepare case studies, stories, anecdotes for visibility.
10. Use social media to show case the successes/events of the project. 
11. Prepare publicity/visibility material as and when necessary, including guiding projects on visibility policy of Helvetas and / or respective donors.
12. Any other task assigned by the Project Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Postgraduate degree in sociology /anthropology/ Economics or any other relevant field
2. At least 5 years of similar working experience with a national / international organization
3. Excellent in English and local languages, writing and communication skills
4. Physically fit for traveling / trekking in rugged mountain areas.
5. Familiarity with social, cultural and geographical context.
