Since its inception, covered at least 22 districts of Balochistan and has worked to ensure a peaceful and secure environment within communities. The main Goal is to eliminate poverty and violence from society by means of encouraging human rights and civic education culture.

Job Overview/Summary:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will lead the design, implementation, and operation of M&E systems from project initiation to closeout. She/he will oversee the monitoring, evaluation, analytics, and reporting of performance and results, providing regular project reports. She/he will conduct regular project data analysis and identify methods to use results for program improvement.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review and development of appropriate formats, tools and systems for monitoring and evaluating programs, assuring quality and managing data according to internal and international standards.
  • In collaboration with the MEAL Manager and program teams, carry out regular participatory project monitoring as well as activities of the partners according to agreed systems, procedures and standards.
  • Conduct interviews with direct and indirect beneficiaries to obtain feedback on the quality of programming activities and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and compile, evidence-based evaluation reports on the programming activities in collaboration with the district teams.
  • Ensure that appropriate quality control efforts are in place, as program data is collected, assessed, and reported; with appropriate data collection tools and approaches in place.
  • Support existing district programming efforts by participating in Learning Workshops and the identification and documentation of success stories, lessons learned, and case studies.
  • Plan & undertake regular site visits, surveys, rapid assessments, and overall monitoring & evaluation of programming activities.
  • Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGD’s) and employ other qualitative data collection tools and methods to assess and report on programming activities, impacts, and outcomes.
  • Extend needful support to program teams to track progress of the project activities in line with the agreed output and outcome level performance indicators and beneficiary numbers using standardized formats and systems, to establish/maintain data storage and dissemination systems.
  • Assist in the design, collection and analysis of data and information for assessments, surveys and evaluations as required by the program teams as per project requirements.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and support relevant teams in improved data management practices.
  • Will represent MEAL during program review meetings and other events to share M&E updates and/or making presentations if required.
  • Maintain proper filing system of monitoring and data related documents in hard as well as in soft.
  • Carry out other such tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Specification:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, economics, statistics or in any other related subject
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in NGO setup.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Capacity to develop, implement and analyze health assessments, develop and implement work plans, program/project budgets in excel sheets and financial management
  • High quality skills in training, monitoring and evaluation of health interventions.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage information (report writing and presentations).
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with data collection and knowledge of MEAL tools.
  • Can speak and understand English, Urdu & Pushto

Language Skills: 

  • Fluent, professional level speaking, reading and writing in English and Urdu. At this level, applicant should have:
  • The ability to speak using sufficient, structured and accurate vocabulary in formal conversation;
  • The ability to use the language to satisfy professional needs;
  • The ability to read and write at a normal speed and with almost complete comprehension of a variety of materials, unfamiliar subjects, styles and forms pertinent to the job needs.
