Consultancy on Translation Work

Role Overview: The Translator will translate proposed Training Manuals from English to Sindhi and Urdu language. The quality of translate must be ensured by translator. The organization will cross check the quality of translation to reflect the true essence of translated document.

Objective of the assignment: The objective of this translation work is to present simplified version of translated Training Manuals from English to Sindhi and Urdu language in local language so that leaners (trainees) can better understand training objectives, methodologies and activities.

Scope of work / deliverables:

The translator will provide the following services:

· High quality translation of Training Manuals from English to Sindhi and Urdu language.

· Edit and proof-read texts to accurately reflect language.

· Review translated material for accuracy of meaning, grammar, and syntax.

· Undertake thorough linguistic and verify terminology and reference to use the most appropriate range of vocabulary and the commonly accepted or established terms of style

· Ensure high quality and accuracy of the entire document before submission

· Finalize and complete the assignment flawlessly and promptly within mentioned deadline

· The consultant may not use, reproduce or otherwise disseminate or authorize others to use, reproduce or disseminate such works without prior consent from the organization. 

· The remuneration will be paid as demanded by the translator, Rs. 1000 per page ( which includes translation , composition, editing and formatting )

Key Qualifications of Consultant

· Minimum Bachelor degree

· Minimum 05 years’ experience in translating professional documents

· Fluent in English and Sindhi and familiarity with other languages.

· Strong communication skills.

· Ensure professional translation, proofreading and editing of all text, including figures, boxes, captions, sources and covers.

Duration of Assignment: The duration of the assignment is only 12-days.

Reporting requirement: Reporting to the Training Coordinator.

Terms of Payment: The consultant’s payment will be comprised of Fee: Payment to cover for the services provided to carry out this assignment as per the TOR. Payment will be made in instalments as follows: 40% will be released on the signing of contract (the process will take 7 days), 30% mid of assignment and 30% after the successful completion of assignment.
