Job Title: Provincial Coordinator (PC)
Report to: Program Officer - GOAL
Location: Peshawar, KP Province
Salary: PKR 90,000/- per month
Contract Duration: Two years (April 2025 – March 2027)

Sightsavers is implementing an FCDO funded project titled “Girls and Out of School Children: Action for Learning (GOAL)” in consortium arrangement. The project is focused on providing access, learning, and support to out-of-school children (OOSC), particularly girls and children with disabilities (CWD), in selected districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (including two merged districts of Mohmad and Khyber). The role of Sightsavers in the project is to ensure inclusion and safeguarding at various levels along with conducting eye screening of children in the selected schools along with carrying out accessibility audit of the schools for identifying challenges and obstacles related to accessibility. The Project Coordinator will be responsible to manage all field level project activities including maintaining and managing relationship with key stakeholders within the province. The post holder will ensure that the project is planned, implemented, coordinated, monitored and evaluated to the highest possible quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Program Officer (PO) Goal (Sightsavers) to ensure field level implementation according to the agreed work plans.
- The PC will facilitate and coordinate for ensuring NOC related matters along with any other compliance required for doing field level activities within the province/selected districts.
- The PC will work closely with the downstream partners for monitoring/mentoring activities within the domain of Inclusive education, safeguarding and other activities.
- The PC will work closely with the downstream partners to streamline activities related to eye screening, accessibility audits as per agreed criteria to ensure timely input and contribution of Sightsavers technical leads
- Regular coordination with downstream partner’s team for jointly developing work plan and aligning his/her work plan in consultation with PO.
- Coordinate with downstream partner’s field team on a daily/weekly basis to ensure smooth implementation of the work plan.
- Work closely with Program Officer -Goal to ensure that required support to the partner’s field team is available and that field-related requirements are timely communicated to the Program Officer -Goal.
- Ensure that work plan, progress reports and KPI data is timely submitted on monthly basis and monthly/quarterly targets are achieved.
- Ensure coordination with the team of Optometrists engaged for eye screening/refraction and other related activities as per agreed timelines.
- Organizing clinical team for eye screening camp as per the planned camp by downstream partners. Ensure proper and evidence-based data recording of screened children.
- The PC will also be responsible for supervising and maintaining all equipment related to eye screening/refraction and ensuring the safety of all such equipment in coordination with the optometrists as per Sightsavers SOPs and guidelines.
- Ensuring that activities related to the provision of glasses to the selected children identified during the screening/refraction process is done as per Sightsavers SOPs and guidelines.
- Ensure that all the project-related documents received from the field are properly reviewed and verified. Identify the gaps in documentation and ensure that all information provided is accurate and means of verification are available.
- Ensure that all project-related files, records, data, and reports are properly maintained both in soft and hard form.
- Ensure that strong working relationship and rapport is developed with the relevant department(s) at the district/provincial level and participate in district and provincial meetings.
- Conduct field monitoring visits and share the reports with recommendations to improve the project’s deliverables.
- Travel independently as and when required and flexible to work long extended hours.
- Any other project-related work assigned by the PO- GOAL when and where required.
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of project management
- Good report writing skills
- Analytical skills
- Social mobilization & advocacy skills
- Proficient in both verbal and written English
- Familiarity with local language and cultural settings
- Able to use MS Office.
