Qualification:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Social Sciences or related discipline

Relevant Experience:

 Minimum 01-02 years relevant experience a non-profit organization or Public-sector institutions in the field of Social Mobilization and Community engagement.

Job Description:

  1. Conduct door-to-door sessions on Maternal and new born health, Family planning, Mental health (using de-stigmatizing language) & Gender-based violence (GBV) services (Primary level information)
  2. Organize group dialogue sessions (segregated by gender/age)
  3. Distribute culturally appropriate IEC materials in local languages
  4. Identify at-risk individuals i.e. Pregnant and lactating women, GBV survivors, Individuals with psychological distress or disabilities and ensure they are connected to appropriate services
  5. Use observation plus interviews to detect signs and Refer to Health facilities (LHVs, psychologists), Women-Friendly Spaces (WFS) & Protection/legal services
  6. Promote WFS as safe, inclusive community spaces.
  7. Mobilize community participation during campaigns or key events.
  8. Coordinate with facility teams during SRH, MNCH, hygiene, and mental health campaigns
  9. Guide beneficiaries on how to access services (dates, locations, procedures)
  10. Report rumors or resistance within the community
  11. Offer basic psychosocial support and promote stress management.
  12. Use WHO’s “Look, Listen, Link” approach
  13. Educate on Sleep hygiene, Stress and grief coping strategies
  14. Refer serious mental health cases to professionals
  15. Promote help-seeking through religious or traditional references
  16. Ensure privacy and confidentiality, especially in GBV and MHPSS referrals.
  17. Build community awareness on how to access multisectoral services through internal and external referrals.
  18. Conduct sessions on Survivor-centred approaches, Informed consent and Confidential referral processes.
  19. Ensure continuity of care and strengthen community feedback loops.
  20. Follow up with referred cases (with consent)
  21. Identify and report barriers to service uptake (e.g., transport, stigma)
  22. Document community feedback and share with supervisors for improvements
  23. Any task assigned by the supervisor.
