Relevant Experience:
- 3 years diploma in General nursing, or B.Sc.N 4years with valid PNC license
- Minimum 1-year experience in the related field
- I/V Cannulation & Medication Administration.
- Understand Infection Control & Nursing Protocol.
- Demonstrated knowledge about Lactation Management.
- ACLS, BLS certified preferred.
- Ability to maintain Nursing documentation.
- Willingness to conduct mobile clinics in remote areas
Job Description:
Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.
Position Summary: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Registered Nurse for the Flood Recovery and Climate Resilience (RENEW) project implement at Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. The Registered Nurse will provide health care services to flood affected communities including child health services, nutrition screenings, and helping with health camps.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide primary healthcare services to flood-affected populations, addressing both different health conditions in recovery-phase clinics or outreach camps.
- Monitor and manage post-disaster health risks, such as skin infections, respiratory illnesses, malnutrition, and mental health concerns.
- Support maternal and child health services, including antenatal/postnatal care, immunizations, and nutrition screening.
- Educate communities on disease prevention, hygiene practices, clean water usage, and sanitation to reduce the risk of outbreaks.
- Coordinate with community health workers and local health committees to ensure continuity of care and referral of complicated cases.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and assist in data collection for monitoring and reporting to project leaders and health authorities.
- Participate in community outreach activities, including health camps, mobile clinics, and health awareness sessions, ensuring inclusive care for vulnerable groups (e.g., women, children, elderly).
