Relevant Experience: Diploma of Male Nurse/ Dispenser from Govt. recognized Medical Faculty institute and Minimum 01 year of overall experience and 6 months in relevant field in development sector.

Job Description:

Mission 1: Ensure preparation, dispensing, stock control and management
The Dispenser is responsible for:

  • Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients under direction of Medical Officer.
  • Counts pills, labels bottles, prices, expiry dates and compounds medications to prepare prescriptions for patients
  • as directed.
  • Administration of injectable medicines under directions of MO to patients
  • Instrument sterilization.
  • Bandage wounds and change dressings when prescribed by doctor.
  • Work as medicine storekeeper at hospital and Keep the daily pharmacy registers.
  • Update stock register and bin cards on daily basis.
  • Keep prescription records and maintain daily tally sheets.
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly consumption record and share with supervisor as needed
  • Supplies patients with information and education on their prescriptions
  • Answers patients' questions about their medications under the supervision of the medical officer
  • Places orders for additional drugs as directed by the medical officer

Mission 2: Network and coordinate with the relevant sectors
The Dispenser is responsible to:

  • Establish good Relationship with the Health care facility staff.
  • Establish a network with the other actors in the working area (I/NGOs and DOH)
  • Respond and coordinate properly with Health & Nutrition Officer representing ACF.
  • Establish a good understanding of the program within the community.
  • Establish good coordination with patients coming for health services.

Mission 3: Additional Tasks:

  • This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and the employee will perform other related tasks as
  • required and responsible for reporting and communication of progress and achievement of the specific assigned
  • task.
  • Inform ACF Health & Nutrition Officer and Project Manager any Technical problems encountered related
  • program.

Mission 4: Ensure compliance with ACFs gender equality, child protection sensitivity and safeguarding
policies

  • Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender, Child Protection and other safeguarding policies
  • Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their
  • gender or limited due to manageable disability
  • Skills Required:
  • Diploma of Male Nurse/ Dispenser from Govt. recognized Medical Faculty institute
  • Minimum 01 years of overall experience and 6 months in relevant field in development sector.
  • Registered with Pakistan Nursing Council. Ability and willingness to autonomously travel to duty site/ health
  • facility and villages when required.
  • Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working
  • conditions like long distance walking to work/distribution sites.
  • Excellent spoken and written local language /Urdu and English language skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in closely working with DOH and Tehsil/District HQ Hospitals and at health facility level is
  • advantageous.
  • Previous experience working in clinical setting is an asset.
  • Candidates will be preferred who reside in ACF-intervention areas/UCs district.
