Position Summary:

The incumbent will be fully responsible to manage the lifesaving food distribution/support by identifying and establishing contact with the community during implementation of the program. Field officer is to ensure that all documentations related to commodity receipts, distributions are regularly maintained per donor’s requirement and distribution points, and mechanism is in line with WFP standards. The person will also be supervising and monitoring the documentation assistants and distribution assistants to perform their job as per the expectation of the agency

Job Description:

1. Coordinate trucking arrangements and other logistics and material requirement for the planned commodity distributions to ensure timely delivery of commodities to distribution sites/ points.
2. Ensures distribution timetable and informs recipients/beneficiaries through the community leaders and other possible means.
3. Develop strategy of community interaction for the social organizers and hold first dialogues meetings with the communities.
4. To work with the community to ensure that they are responding to identified needs and have the full participation of the community in food distribution.
5. Provide support and supervision to distribution staff to ensure successful implementation of the program
6. Reporting of issues and their possible solutions to the project coordinator.
7. Monitor food distribution activities to ensure that it is managed within the timeline provided and as per objectives.
8. Ensure the safety & security and dignity of the recipients at distribution points while also complying to the COVID-19 protocols.  
9. Taking precautionary measures for properly organized distribution through mob controlling and que formation
10. Support and assist Project Coordinator in data and reports compilation.

Qualification & Experience:

• Master degree with 2-3 years of total experience and having minimum 1 years of sector experience.
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
• Excellent skills on computer operation, especially on MS Word &  Microsoft Excel
• Community mobilization skills.
• Problem solving ability.
• Fluency in English and Local Language.
