JOB PURPOSE

To provide effective specialized support and technical analyses to nutrition programme activities.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

Under the overall guidance of the supervisor, the job holder is expected to perform the following tasks:

1. Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders, including IRMNCH & NP, Government of Punjab, Department of Health, BISP Provincial/District offices, and District Health Authorities, to develop synergies and partnerships for the successful implementation of the BISP Stunting Prevention Project at district and provincial levels.

2. Maintain close liaison with key partners to mobilize eligible beneficiaries at Nashonuma Centers and ensure effective and efficient delivery of food assistance, resolving daily operational issues promptly.

3. Provide project management support to specific and defined “BISP Nashonuma” activities, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programs/projects that comply with WFP standards and procedures.

4. Assist in preparing project documents, organizing project planning missions, meetings, and briefing sessions to identify and analyze problems, recommend solutions, and ensure effective project implementation.

5. Support the assessment of project performance, including the utilization of resources and achievement of planned targets, by analyzing received reports/data and suggesting corrective actions when necessary.

6. Monitor, update, and track data related to project issues, commodity pipelines, and financial allotment status reports, ensuring accuracy and informing relevant divisions accordingly.

7. Prepare allocation plans to ensure timely preparation of agreements/MOUs/FLAs with partners for quality service delivery through a transparent and competitive selection process. Coordinate with other units for the timely delivery of food to targeted beneficiaries.

8. Maintain records on program activities, from formulation through completion, and make information available for country briefs, profiles, and other related purposes, ensuring project cycle deadlines are met.

9. Carry out advocacy and information-related tasks for project/program activities, including making presentations in meetings, workshops, seminars, and missions. Prepare status and progress reports, facilitate accurate and timely inputs/reports from implementing partners for M&E analysis and status reports.

10. Assist in arranging trainings, reviews, and other program-related events, evaluate and recommend procedures, participate in discussions on new/revised procedures and practices, interpret and assess the impact of changes, and make recommendations on follow-up actions.

11.Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education: First-level University degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of programme experience, with at least 2-3 years in nutrition-related activities/projects.

  • Experience working in Punjab province is preferred.
  • Experience working with technical teams for the implementation of nutrition projects.
  • Contribution to the implementation of nutrition programs in the province.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Urdu. Fluency in the local dialect of the duty station is an asset.
